Hello!,
Today it's alllll about eyeshadow quads..Ok, so this a rare event..I am pitting two products from the same cosmetics line against each other and things are really going to get interesting! I am a huge fan of Revlon Cosmetics and their eye shadows are some of the best around..so I took these two e/s quads, both are different formulas, tried them out and now..here's the skinny on them both..Here goes:
(Photo: Right)
Product #1: Revlon Colorstay E/S Quad
Color: #504 Inspired
Price: $7.00-$9.00
Where to buy: CVS, Wal-Mart, Target, or other drugstore/mass market retailer
Pros: extremely Long lasting, easy to apply, vibrant color, can be used wet or dry.
Cons: None, except a little goes a looong way so be careful how much you apply at one time.
Color: #501 Metropolitan
Price: $8.00-$11.00
Where to buy: CVS, Wal-Mart, Target, or other drugstore/mass market retailer
Pros: Easy application, smooth
Cons: *The colors are NOT true to the way they look in their case! Application can be somewhat messy.
* Once the shadows have been applied to your eye, they take on a totally different shade..almost dreary and washed out and crappy! It makes your eyes look dirty..in a bad way..I mean forget the smolder/smokey eye..I'm talking about a mess..you will look like total mess around the eyes..Horrible..just horrible! smdhrrh --_-
So, MY choice is the Colorstay E/S Quad..better quality & versatility for less money, but if you beautyholics are very brave and wish to take on a real challenge by trying to work with the PhotoReady Quad, then by all means, indulge yourselves (you've been forewarned lol). I am very disappointed in Revlon as far as the PhotoReady line is concerned, especially in the eye shadows..
So, until next week people!..
Ciao- Medvsa Red
